Teen Hears Screaming Inside Walmart, Then Runs To Grab A Lifeless Baby From Her Frantic Mother

In 2014, a desperate mother began screaming for help when her 11-month-old baby girl suddenly stopped breathing at a Walmart store in Missouri.

The harrowing incident, which was caught on surveillance video, shows the infant’s mother franticly trying to revive her daughter to no avail.

The manager of the store called 911, but none of the shoppers or staff members were equipped to save the infant. In fact, no one was really doing much of anything.

That’s when a teenager heard the commotion from inside a dressing room and did what no one else could do.

17-year-old Abby Snodgrass ran out of the dressing room, pushed through the crowd and immediately began performing CPR on the infant. As fate would have it, Abby had learned CPR skills in her high school health class just a couple months before this incident — but had never used the technique before.

“The one thing that crossed my mind initially was, ‘What if this doesn’t work?’ And I just had to push it out of my mind and keep going,” she told reporters.

After several terrifying moments, the baby girl eventually started breathing again.

Thanks to this teenager’s bravery, the baby survived.
