When we give our babies a bath, we expect that the soap picked to keep them sparkling and clean is going to be gentle on their skin and bodies – but that hasn’t always been the case with Johnson & Johnson.

After years of denial and ignoring the issue, the manufacturer finally admitted that it uses formaldehyde in one of its most popular baby care items: the “no tears” shampoo. Not only can the chemicals in the soap alter your child’s immune system development, but after repeated use, they have actually proven to cause cancer in animal test subjects.
